The Casio EX-FH25 High Speed Camera
The EX-FH25 is Casio’s second generation of high speed cameras, replacing the hugely successful EX-FH20. Released towards the end of 2009, the EX-FH25 shares the same high speed shooting ability of it’s as its predecessor, with the same body design of its and large 3.0 inch LCD, with a high screen resolution of 230,400 pixels. The AA batteries offer increased flexibility over many of its competitors which are tied down to own brand manufacture batteries.

However it’s not until you look under the hood that you see its improvements. With a new improved higher resolution sensor with expanded high ISO range to enable better low light shooting. Popular with both photographers and videographers for its high frame rate and portable size the Casio EX-FH25 is aimed squarely at people that want a camera that can do everything. Bringing a 20x zoom range, equivalent to 26-520mm, its a true super zoom through and through.

Unlike its predecessor the EX-FH25 now has a massively improved macro ability allowing the lens to go down to 1cm, any closer and your subject would be touching the lens!
The Casio EX-FH25 offers a solid upgrade to the EX-FH20 and establishes the Casio name further within the industry as a manufacturer thinking outside the box, a company doing its best to offer its customers those extra features which make them stand out from the pack.
Both of its predecessors are famed for their high speed ability, in particular with Golf coaches, to show just how to perfect the perfect swing. With this in mind we headed down to our local driving range demonstrate the high speed action.
As you can see from the comparision the Casio EX-FH25 at 1000fps is extremely slow motion and will allow you to capture every slight movement from your subject. Though as you can also see it records in a rather odd ratio, 224x64 pixels, and though it would be great if this was high definition this is the compromise thats required to get this amazing frame rate.
Though with many camcorders now jumping on the high frame rate 'band wagon' if wont be long before we see reasonably priced cameras (or camcorders) that can offer this.
