Simple to use
With growth in digital photo printing coming from the non-technical consumer, Epson have improved the intuitive interface, which guides users through a simple and quick printing process (42 secs per photo). It couldn’t be simpler. A high resolution 3.6” LCD screen allows consumers to preview pictures to print beautiful glossy borderless 10x15cm photos. Print selection options allow for printing all photos, just one photo, a range of photos, or several non-sequential photos from the camera memory card. The PictureMate 290 automatically optimises each photo for colour and quality or allows consumers to print their colour photos in black and white or sepia tones. For consumers who would like to have more creative flexibility they are able to crop photos, add borders and make wallet-sized photos and even passport size for ID, all at the touch of a button. You can also print wirelessly from your mobile phone/PDA via the built-in Bluetooth interface so every moment captured can be reproduced.
Direct save to CD via built-in drive
PictureMate PM290 has a built-in CD/DVD drive and provides a complete photo solution from Printing to Save without a PC. All photos or some photos on the memory card can be saved to built-in CD drive and it is possible to save them onto two or more CD media. The user can also choose the CD writing speed in the menu (Normal or High Speed). In case of High speed, it doesn’t do a verify check after writing to CD. Multi-session burning is possible, so images can be burnt to the same CD.
Zoom button
There is a dedicated zoom button on the control panel for ease of use. When the zoom button is pressed in print mode, zoom mode is entered. By pushing the zoom button again, the photo is zoomed larger in steps of 200%, 300%, 400% & 500%. The user can then make original cropped photos using the zoom button.
