The new Swarovski EL Range laser rangefinder binoculars are built on the same “Platform” as the first generation Swarovski EL binocular. They do not have HD glass or Field Flattening lenses like the Swarovski EL Swarovision. Keep in mind that the main purpose of HD glass is to reduce color fringing and even though these do not have HD glass, they perform as well the premium laser rangefinder binoculars with HD glass made by other manufacturers. Instantaneous angle compensated readout to the target is a desirable feature not currently available in other premium laser rangefinder binoculars. This alone my cause many hunters and shooters to trade in what they are currently using.

However, one of the most remarkable features of this product is the light transmission – 91% through each barrel. By way of comparison, the new Swarovision EL has a light transmission rating of 90%. The previous generation EL’s had light transmission value of 87%. So even though this unit is based on the older Swarovski EL binocular, the optical system has been improved dramatically over it's predecessor. The aiming circle is in the right barrel and the yardage readout is in the left barrel with a distinctive red color. Note that the aiming circle is much smaller than the circle in the Swarovski Laser Guide 8x30 rangefinder.
