DAY 1: THE BUSINESS OF WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Learn the secrets of how to build, operate and grow a successful wedding photography business from of the UK’s leading lights. In today’s world of economic doom and gloom, running a wedding photography business in an oversaturated and unregulated professional has never been tougher. Peter Prior will share how he has grown from nothing to be one of the most successful wedding photography businesses in the country. He will share his work, his way of pricing and selling as well as the many ways he markets his business in an ever-changing landscape. Peter will explain correct pricing and share strategies that he has used to grow year on year. Business notes in CD format will be handed out to those who attend Day 1.
DAY 2: THE ART OF SHOOTING A WEDDING
Day two will take place at the stunning Ashdown Park Hotel in East Sussex. This is one of the UK’s top wedding venues offering amazing photographic opportunities both inside and out. Peter will develop things from Day 1 further by sharing some complete weddings, advice on how to shoot a wedding when faced by all the pitfalls that can be thrown up on the day.
He will offer advice on how to pose and light a couple correctly and quickly as well as take delegates through a complete wedding.
He will talk through his thought process and explain the story telling of each image as the day unfolded.
He will also talk about how a wedding day works, how he copes with the pressures that can occur, how to deal with other vendors on the day and how to keep the couple and their guests on your side with the minimal of fuss.
There will also be a live bridal shoot with opportunities for delegates to take their own images within the dramatic setting of Ashdown Park. Peter will demonstrate how to shoot amazing images using low light inside as well as outside (weather permitting).
BIOGRAPHY
Peter Prior has been a professional wedding photographer for over 15 years, shooting over 700 weddings in the process and has seen the huge changes that have occurred with the emergence of digital capture. Despite this and the stiffer competition that has resulted, Peter has remained at the top of the UK’s wedding photography industry and continues to push the boundaries.
His timeless style, has gained him worldwide recognition, winning over 60 National and Regional Industry Awards for his powerful imagery and he currently holds the titles MPA South East Classical Wedding Photographer of the Year and MPA South East Wedding Photojournalist of the Year.
His seminars have a reputation for being hype free, relaxed and very open. Peter’s work has appeared in all the major bridal magazines, the Rangefinder Magazine in the States, Professional Photographer and Digital Photo Pro Magazines and he has spoken all over the UK about his wedding photography and his blog is followed by photographers worldwide.
